Who am I?

My name is Dorota Ilczuk, and by education and passion, I am a psychologist. I am constantly expanding my knowledge in the fields of psychodietetics and nutrition.

I am also a dancer and dance instructor – I have been involved with this sport since childhood and can't imagine life without dance!

And here’s something you might not expect – I also graduated from a technical university with a degree in management, and my professional career has given me the opportunity to gain experience in project management and become an expert in processes.

For years, I’ve been deepening my knowledge in healthy eating, holistic and natural approaches to health, and the impact of the mind on health.

As you can see, the combination of my passions has led me to this point. I effectively combine all these elements in my mission – I want to help women like you.

My Story

Hi, I'm so glad you're here with me!

Since you've reached this point, stay a little longer and get to know my PCOS story. I believe my story will inspire you.

I've been struggling with hormonal imbalances since I was 17, and the only solution doctors offered was birth control pills. Sounds familiar, right?

PCOS was finally diagnosed when I was 29. Just see for yourself – for 12 years (!) no doctor was able to make an accurate diagnosis.

But that's not all. The diagnosis was only made based on a panel of tests I requested myself. I searched for different sources, reading up on which tests should be done to diagnose PCOS, among other things. Unfortunately, I had not found a specialist before who didn't send me away empty-handed. I kept hearing that since my basic test results were fine, the elevated triglycerides were probably genetic or due to eating too much pasta (which I didn’t even eat).

"That's just your body type." How many times have you heard this sentence? I'm sure those words still echo in your ears, just like they do in mine.

Gaining weight and swelling "out of nowhere," a belly pouch, hair falling out in handfuls, acne, feeling unwell, lack of self-acceptance, constant fatigue, sleep issues, irregular periods – I'm sure you feel like I'm describing your "body type," right?

As you might have guessed, it wasn't just my body type, but PCOS.

How did the diagnosis impact my life?

After the diagnosis, I decided to learn more about what polycystic ovary syndrome actually is and, above all, to pay closer attention to my body. I realized that my body was trying to tell me something!

I began educating myself about PCOS. Many sources say that a healthy diet will solve the problem, but I had been interested in healthy eating for years and already ate well. But okay, I decided to dive deeper into the topic of nutrition. I tested many diets on myself, which helped to varying degrees, but it still wasn’t quite right. I also tortured myself with daily, very intense workouts, which led to results opposite to what I expected. I was more tired, and my body, which didn’t have time to recover, once again gave me signs that this wasn’t the way. Chronic stress didn’t help either. I felt like I was stuck in a vicious cycle.

At this point, I stopped and started to reflect. Could the problem be deeper? And so, I started connecting the dots. I added what had always been my passion – psychology, a healthy lifestyle, and dance. Along the way, I discovered yoga and its amazing effect on my well-being. Finally, I combined my experience in process management, and that's when I started introducing more changes into my life. I observed my body even more closely.

And you know what? Finally, my efforts started to show measurable results!

I managed to create a process that allowed me to put PCOS into remission!

I fully understand how difficult it is to live with polycystic ovary syndrome. I also know how hard it is to start working with your body and trust it. To believe that your body is not working against you, but rather protecting you and communicating with you.
